Sliquid Organics Natural Gel is the thick version of Sliquid's organic aloe formula. The label states 95% organic ingredients. The base is organic aloe vera juice rather than plain water, thickened with organic agar agar and guar gum, and carrying four organic botanical extracts: flax, hibiscus, green tea and sunflower seed.

The one thing that separates it from the liquid version is double the agar agar, a seaweed-derived thickener. Same thirteen ingredients, same price, more body. It holds its shape rather than running off, which is the whole point of a gel.

It is pH balanced between 4.0 and 4.4, free from glycerin, parabens, propylene glycol, DEA, PEG and sulphates, and it has no fragrance, flavour or colour. Vegan, cruelty-free and hypoallergenic. There is a small amount of alcohol in the formula, which is worth knowing if your skin reacts easily.

Water-soluble with no silicone in it, so it works with every toy material including silicone, and with latex, polyisoprene and polyurethane condoms. From Blossom Pelvic Health, shipped discreetly across Australia. 125ml.

It suits you if a liquid lube runs off before you have finished applying it, if you want more cushion between surfaces, or if you would rather not stop and reapply partway through. It is also the one to reach for when you are coating a toy or a dilator and want the lubricant to stay on the device rather than drip off on the way.

It is probably not the one if you want the shortest possible ingredient list. This has thirteen ingredients, including four botanical extracts and a small amount of alcohol. Sliquid H2O has six and no botanicals at all.

If you like the aloe base but want a pourable liquid rather than a gel, Sliquid Organics Natural is the same formula without the extra thickener.

Use as much as you want, on yourself and on the device or your partner. Because it is thicker than a liquid, a little goes further, so start with less than you think. Water-based lube absorbs over time, so if it feels dry partway through you can bring it back with a little water rather than reapplying. It rinses off skin and devices with warm water and will not stain. In the shower it washes away faster, so apply out of the direct spray. Keep the cap closed, out of direct heat and sunlight.

When you'd reach for Sliquid Organics Natural Gel

Some lubricant runs off before you have finished applying it. This is the one that does not.

Organics Natural Gel carries double the organic agar agar of the liquid version. Agar agar is a seaweed-derived thickener, and doubling it is the whole difference between the two: same recipe, more body. It holds its shape on a finger, a toy or a dilator, so what you put on stays on.

Three situations where that matters.

Coating something before insertion. A liquid tends to run off the device on the way. A gel stays on it, which means the surface is still covered when you get there.

Wanting more cushion. A thicker layer sits between surfaces for longer, so there is less friction and less need to stop.

Reapplying less. Because more of it stays where you put it, one application lasts further into the session.

If you would rather have the shortest possible ingredient list, Sliquid H2O has six and no botanicals. If you like this formula but want a pourable liquid, Sliquid Organics Natural is the same recipe without the extra thickener.

Which Sliquid is right for you?

Seven formulas, three real differences: what it's built on, how thick it is, and whether it's safe with your toys. Every figure here is Sliquid's own published data. Silk and Organics Silk both contain silicone, so neither is one to use with silicone toys. Any of the water-based formulas is.

Sliquid Organics Natural Gel, your questions answered

Everything you need to know about Sliquid Organics Natural Gel: what makes it thicker, when a gel suits better than a liquid, using it with toys and devices, and the full ingredient list.

Sliquid Organics Natural Gel uses the same organic aloe formula as the liquid version, with roughly double the organic agar agar. Agar agar is a seaweed-derived thickener, and doubling it is what turns a pourable liquid into a gel that holds its shape. Nothing else in the recipe changes. The practical effect is that the product stays where you put it instead of running off a finger, a toy or a device before you are ready.

A lubricating gel and a liquid do different jobs. A liquid spreads quickly and feels light. A gel gives you a thicker cushion and stays in one place for longer. A gel tends to suit when you are coating something before insertion and do not want it dripping away, when you want more padding between surfaces, or when you would rather not stop and reapply. If you find a liquid disappears faster than you would like, the gel version of the same formula is the straightforward next thing to try.

Yes, and it is one of the things a thick gel is genuinely better at. The anus does not produce its own lubrication, so anything that happens there needs lubricant brought to it, and a thin formula tends to be displaced quickly. The gel's body means it holds coverage for longer. It contains no numbing agents, which matters: numbing products mask sensation you want to be able to feel so you can adjust. It rinses off with warm water and works with condoms.

Yes. It is water-soluble with no silicone in it, so it is safe with silicone dilators and pelvic wands as well as glass, stainless steel, ABS plastic and ceramic. The gel consistency is useful here for a practical reason: it coats the device fully and stays on it during insertion rather than being wiped off on the way, which means less stopping to reapply partway through. Warm water and a mild unscented cleanser take it off afterwards.

Both are ultra-thick, and the difference is the base. Sassy sits in the Sliquid Naturals range and is built on purified water with six ingredients. Organics Natural Gel is built on organic aloe vera juice with thirteen, including four organic botanical extracts. Sassy gets its body from extra plant cellulose; the Gel gets it from doubled agar agar. Both are pH balanced, glycerin-free and paraben-free, and both work with all condom and toy materials. Choose Sassy for the shorter ingredient list, the Gel for the aloe base and the botanicals.

Yes to both. There is no silicone in the formula, so it will not affect silicone toys, dilators, wands or trainers, and it is equally fine with glass, metal, plastic and ceramic. Sliquid confirm their lubricants work with all condom types, so latex, polyisoprene and polyurethane are all covered. It is water-soluble and rinses off skin and devices with warm water, leaving no film.

Organic aloe barbadensis decolorized leaf juice (reconstituted), purified water, plant cellulose, organic agar agar, cyamopsis (guar gum), citric acid, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, alcohol, organic flax extract, organic hibiscus extract, organic green tea extract, organic sunflower seed extract. Thirteen ingredients. It is free from glycerin, parabens, propylene glycol, DEA, PEG, sulphates, sorbitol, gluten, fragrance, flavouring and artificial colour, and it is vegan and cruelty-free. Worth naming plainly: there is a small amount of alcohol in it, which some people with reactive skin prefer to avoid.

It is made for it. The formula leaves out glycerin, parabens, propylene glycol, sulphates and fragrance, which between them account for most lubricant reactions, and the aloe base is a gentle carrier. The botanical extracts are all well tolerated on skin. Two honest caveats: the formula contains a small amount of alcohol, and if you have a known allergy to any plant in the list, read it through before you buy. If you would rather have the shortest possible ingredient list, Sliquid H2O has six ingredients and no botanicals at all.
