The Inspire Silicone Dilator Kit by Calexotics is a set of five graduated silicone dilators that help you get comfortable with internal pressure gradually, at a pace that suits you. It's a popular first set for beginners, and many people use one as part of a pelvic-physiotherapy-led plan for progressive vaginal stretching.

The sizes step up in small increments from an extra-small starting point, so there's no big jump between them. Each dilator has a smooth, tapered tip and a finger loop, which makes inserting and removing it easy to control. The silicone is body-safe, phthalate-free, non-porous and simple to keep clean.

What's in the set

  • Size 1: 7.5 cm long, 1.25 cm wide
  • Size 2: 9 cm long, 2 cm wide

  • Anyone who prefers a non-vibrating set, to focus on breath, relaxation and body awareness
  • Those continuing an existing plan who want one complete set of sizes

Prefer a little extra sensation? We also stock the Inspire Vibrating Dilator Kit (3-piece), or you can browse the full dilator range to compare your options.

Inspire Silicone Dilator Kit 5-Piece FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Inspire Silicone Dilator Kit 5-Piece: a graduated set of five body-safe silicone dilators with finger loops, in progressive sizes. Physiotherapist recommended, with fast, discreet delivery across Australia.

The Inspire Silicone Dilator Kit 5-Piece is a complete set of five graduated, non-vibrating silicone dilators with finger loops. The sizes run from extra-small (7.5 cm long, 1.25 cm wide) up to the largest (14 cm long, 3.25 cm wide), with small steps in between so you can build comfort with internal pressure gradually, at your own pace. Each dilator is made from body-safe, phthalate-free silicone that's smooth, non-porous and easy to clean. Because the set is non-vibrating, it suits people who want to focus on slow, breath-led practice with full control over pace and depth. Many people use a dilator set as part of a pelvic-physiotherapy-led plan.

Start with the smallest dilator, Size 1 (7.5 cm long, 1.25 cm wide). Use plenty of water-based lubricant and only insert as far as feels comfortable. There's no need to insert it fully. Once that size feels easy with no discomfort, move up to the next one. It's completely normal for this to take weeks, and there's no rush. The five graduated sizes are there so you can progress in small, manageable steps rather than big jumps. If you're not sure where to begin, a pelvic health physiotherapist can recommend a starting point and pace for your individual needs.

A three-piece set works well for many people, but the jump in size between dilators can feel large if you're starting very small or finding progress slow. The Inspire 5-Piece set adds smaller increments between sizes, so each step up feels more gradual and manageable. Many beginners find that less daunting. It also means one complete set can take you from the smallest size right through, without buying extra dilators later. If you'd prefer a vibrating option instead, we also stock a 3-piece Inspire Vibrating Dilator Kit. A pelvic health physiotherapist can help you choose what suits you.

Set up a calm, private space where you won't be interrupted. Apply plenty of water-based lubricant to both the smallest dilator and the vaginal opening. Get comfortable. Many people prefer a propped, supported position with pillows behind the back and knees (a supported 'butterfly', with the soles of the feet together). Take a few slow breaths to let your pelvic floor relax, then gently insert the smallest dilator as you breathe out, only as far as feels comfortable. There's no need to insert it fully. Leave it in place for around 10 to 15 minutes, breathing slowly and releasing tension with each exhale. Calming music or guided relaxation can help. Use the smallest size regularly until it feels easy, then move up when you're ready. Go at your own pace, and your pelvic health physiotherapist can give you guidance tailored to you.

Yes. The Inspire dilators are fully waterproof and submersible, so they're easy to rinse clean and can be used in the bath if you prefer. They're made from body-safe, non-porous, phthalate-free silicone. Before and after each use, wash them with warm, soapy water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth, or use a cleaner made for silicone toys. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach and abrasive scrubbers, which can damage the surface. Use water-based lubricant only, as silicone-based lubricants can degrade silicone. Store them somewhere clean, dry and out of direct sunlight and heat. A dedicated pouch keeps them discreet and protected. Check them now and then for signs of wear and replace if needed.

It comes down to personal preference. This Inspire kit is non-vibrating, which suits people who want to focus on slow, breath-led practice with full control over the pace and depth of insertion. Others prefer a vibrating dilator for the added sensation and feedback. If that's you, we also stock the Inspire Vibrating Dilator Kit (3-piece). Neither is 'better'. It's about what feels most comfortable and sustainable for you, and a pelvic health physiotherapist can help you decide which approach fits your goals.

Use a water-based lubricant only. Silicone-based lubricants can damage the silicone surface over time, and oil-based products are harder to clean off and can degrade silicone too. Apply a generous amount to both the dilator and the vaginal opening before you start, and reapply as needed during use. There's no such thing as too much lubricant here. Water-based lube also rinses off easily, and because the Inspire dilators are fully waterproof, they're simple to clean afterwards.
