What SRC compression garments actually do

SRC garments use graduated compression that's firmer at the base and eases higher up, supporting your abdominal and pelvic area through pregnancy and recovery. The patented triple-layer gusset gives gentle, consistent support without the dig-in of a rigid belt. They're a Class I medical-grade compression garment, not shapewear, built to be worn for long stretches and to keep their shape wash after wash.

Pregnancy vs recovery: which SRC garment do you need?

This is the question we get asked most, and getting it wrong is the most common reason people are disappointed with SRC. The pregnancy range is built to support a growing bump and is worn day or night through pregnancy. The recovery range is a different garment, made for after birth, including after a caesarean. SRC doesn't recommend wearing recovery garments during pregnancy.

Getting your size right

Sizing is the thing worth slowing down for. SRC runs to Australian sizing, which can sit a size or two below the US equivalents you might be used to, so don't assume. Measure. SRC recommends having someone else take your measurements against their size chart, and a garment that feels firm on the first wear is usually doing its job, not too small. If you're between sizes or unsure, message us before you order.

When to wear them β€” and why buy SRC from Blossom

Recovery garments are designed for the first 8–10 weeks after birth and can be worn for as many hours a day as they feel comfortable. Many people start as soon as they feel ready to move. Buying through Blossom means a physio-led range that's trusted by Australian physiotherapists, not just listed. Eligible private health funds may offer a rebate on compression garments (check with your fund), and every order is backed by SRC's money-back guarantee with discreet Australian shipping.

SRC Health compression garments β€” your questions answered

SRC recovery shorts are a Class I medical-grade compression garment worn after birth, including after a caesarean. Graduated compression and a patented triple-layer gusset give firm, consistent support to your abdominal and pelvic area, so you can move around more comfortably as you recover.

The pregnancy range supports a growing bump and is worn through pregnancy, day or night. The recovery range is a separate garment made for after birth β€” SRC doesn't recommend wearing recovery garments during pregnancy. Choosing the right one for your stage matters most.

You can start once you feel ready to move and comfortable doing so β€” many people begin in the early days after a caesarean. SRC designed the recovery range for the first 8–10 weeks after birth. If you had any complications, check with your doctor first.

Wear them for as many hours a day as they feel comfortable β€” there's no fixed rule. SRC designed the recovery range for the first 8–10 weeks after birth, though many people keep wearing them longer while they still feel supportive and helpful.

Measure, don't guess. SRC runs to Australian sizing, which can sit below the US sizes you may know, and they recommend having someone else measure you against their chart. A firm feel on the first wear is normal. Unsure or between sizes? Message us first.

Yes β€” many people wear SRC recovery shorts day and night in the early weeks, and the fabric is designed for long, comfortable wear. Listen to your body: if they ever feel too firm overnight, take them off. Comfort is the guide, not the clock.

Some private health funds offer a rebate on compression garments, depending on your level of cover and your fund's rules. We can't guarantee it β€” check directly with your fund before you buy, and keep your receipt. SRC's money-back guarantee also applies to your order.
